"it was fun." Jack said. He felt like he just couldn't stop watching Mildred after that. The people quickly returned to their routine though far less tense towards Jack and Mildred.

‘It was very fun,’ Mildred said happily. She let go of him and grabbed his hands instead. ‘So, where to next, good sir?’

"well, I think we should start heading towards the theater. It's not too far away but I'd hate to miss the intermission to the show." Jack said

‘Sounds good to me,’ Mildred said. ‘Let’s go!’

Jack led Mildred through the streets. Eventually the panicked faces returned but jack was better at ignoring them. He was too focused on his joy

Mildred couldn’t remember the last time she’d felt this happy with someone. She walked with a bounce in her step beside him.

When they arrived at the theater there was a someone outside so greet them. "My lord, and miss Mildred, welcome to the Transylvania theater." They said

Mildred smiled, looking at the vampire then back at Jack.

"thank you baron orlok." Jack said. "I see you're watching our newest performance. You won't be disappointed! However I must ask, could we borrow a few more candles from the palace later? The candle supply has been vexingly short recently." The baron said.

Mildred looked between them as they spoke, not adding to the conversation.

"certainly. Consider it a sign of friendship between the theater and the palace." Jack said. "Wonderful, wonderful, now, your tickets should be inside but if there's a problem don't hesitate to shout for me." The baron said before leaving.

Mildred looked up at Jack.

"baron orlok is in charge of entertainment in the village. He prints a lot of the books around the kingdom." Jack explained as he led Mildred up the stairs

‘Cool,’ Mildred said, following close behind.

Jack picked up the tickets at the ticket booth where they already had the tickets out. He handed a ticket to Mildred
