‘Oh, yeah. You should set up a trade system with the humans,’ Mildred said. ‘Though I see why you haven’t, the ones in power are somewhat aggressive.’

"overly aggressive. What do you think they'd do if a vampire waltzed into their kingdom and tried to set up a trade system? I believe they'd tie me up and wait for me to burn at sunset." Jack said

‘Yeah, that’s fair. Just a thought,’ Mildred said.

"I wish they'd treat an ambassador better but... Something tells me it would go worse." Jack said

‘People don’t really know a lot about vampires,’ Mildred said. ‘To be honest, I thought you were bloodthirsty monsters before I came here.’

"I know. Even if that statement still hurts my feelings." Jack said. He knew very well Mildred didn't think that anymore, but he hated being reminded of it.

‘Sorry. There’s just a lot of misinformation, is what I’m trying to say,’ Mildred said.

"I know. Misinformation is killer." Jack said. He took a bite of the salmon. It was okay.

‘Quite literally, sometimes,’ Mildred said. She cut off a piece of her salmon, but didn’t eat it.

Jack waited a few minutes before speaking again. "Is there something wrong with the salmon?" Jack inquired

Mildred felt bad for not eating it. ‘No, it looks quite good.’

"are you sure? It you don't like fish Wilhelm can surely make something else for you." Jack said thoughtfully

‘It’s fine. I’m full from the bread, anyway,’ Mildred said.
