‘They throw a few rotten tomatoes then run away before the guards notice,’ Mildred said. ‘It’s smart, but I don’t want to waste my food.’

"it's quick and effective but I can see how it wastes food. I remember Alexander used to tell me tales of him throwing various things at the human kings over the years before running from his guards." Jack said

‘If only tomatoes took a king out of power,’ Mildred said jokingly.

"maybe it'll give him the plague." Jack joked right back

‘I might even go back if he does,’ Mildred chuckled.

"does the king have a good heir? Better question, how many murder plots would spring up if he died?" Jack asked

'I don't know much about his heir. I think he's around my age, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's as horrible as his father. And probably a lot,' Mildred said.

"ooh, prince reagent situations are ugly. The temporary kings can be worse than the younger kings." Jack said

'Yeah. I just hope he's an okay person,' Mildred said.

"I hope so too, for the sake of the humans who live there." Jack said. He turned the corner and almost collided with a younger kitchen worker. "Watch where you're-! Oh! Hello your highness." The kitchen worker said, bowing.

Mildred looked at the worker, then back at Jack

"I'm sorry, I have poor eyesight." Jack said. "Well, Wilhelm told me to go get you." The kitchen worker said before bowing and walking back to the kitchen hurriedly.

Mildred looked between them, staying quiet.

"that was odd." Jack said before heading on to the dining room and holding open the door.

'How so?' Mildred asked, following.
