‘What makes you think that? Does Frederick really like parties?’ Mildred asked.

"oh, Frederick loves parties. He would constantly try to plan parties and such when he wasn't being trechrous and manipulative." Jack said.

‘Was he always being treacherous and manipulative?’ Mildred asked.

"I couldn't tell for awhile. It's hard to tell when you're being manipulated." Jack said.

‘Right. And you only realised when he took your eye?’ Mildred said.

"I ignored the signs. I'm not even sure where it all started honestly." Jack said.

‘Fair, I guess. How’d he even take your eye, anyway? Did he poke it out with a fork?’ Mildred asked.

"well, I was heading to bed for the morning after some paperwork but right as I stood up Frederick entered the throne room. He walked up to me and engaged in some small talk. He said something about me getting some human blood then after a minute of silence he told me to close my eyes for a surprise and after some goading I did. That's when he approached. He had an ice pick. Once he was done with that ordeal he walked out of the front door as he watched the sun rise and I rushed to the nearest windowless room." Jack said

‘Woah. That’s.. woah,’ Mildred said, putting down her roll as she imagined it. ‘That’s disgusting.’

"the worst part is, I was far too weak to fight back. It was like taking candy from an anemic baby." Jack said

‘Had you stopped drinking blood?’ Mildred asked, frowning.

"had I not told you that? It probably slipped my mind. I had sworn I wouldn't drink human blood, I was dating a human why would I want to drink human blood while with a human." Jack said

‘No, I mean, were you refusing to drink animal blood at the time? Anaemia can be caused by poor nutrition,’ Mildred said.

"With my bloodline, I need human blood to live. Animal blood can help me survive but I'll grow weaker than a bug if I don't drink human blood." Jack said

Mildred nodded. 'Makes sense. That sounds like such a gruesome way to lose an eye, though. I'm sorry that happened.'
