Jack was confused. "That was in interesting ordeal. I wonder if she wants to reschedule your meeting. I feel like that's been rescheduled for too many times." Jack said

‘I don’t know,’ Mildred said, picking at a loose thread on her skirt. ‘Do you think she likes me?’

"maybe. It's hard to gauge what most of them think. Believe it or not, jezebel is the easiest to read because she tells everyone how she feels." Jack said

‘Yeah, Jezebel is pretty easy to read. She doesn’t like me very much,’ Mildred said. ‘I think she thinks I’m going to try to kill you like Frederick and Talia.’

"she's weary but in her defense she doesn't know you well." Jack said. Most vampires didn't personally know Mildred so of course they held a few suspicions as far as jack was concerned they'd easily be able to debunk them.

‘Fair enough. But murder is an interesting assumption to make about someone.’ Mildred paused. ‘Not that I’m not guilty of it. I definitely thought you were going to stab me the first time I saw you.’

"to be fair, you were confronted by a tall, intimidating, red eyed monster that was going to kill you." Jack said.

‘True. I wouldn’t say monster, just really really old guy with fangs,’ Mildred said.

"true, I even have the grey hair to match, even though I'm quite a young vampire. Do humans ever get early grey hair?" Jack asked

‘Sometimes, through stress. I don’t know if I do get,’ Mildred said, grabbing a piece of her hair and looking at it.

"your hair doesn't seem grey to me. I was born with grey hair, I was elderly even when I was still small enough to be carried." Jack said

Mildred chuckled. ‘Maybe that’s just a colour of your hair, then.’

"Alexander told me my father had white hair like me. Maybe we vampires have strange hair." Jack said

‘Maybe you do. But that’s fine, it doesn’t make you look too old,’ Mildred said.

"that's good to know." Jack said, not sure what else could be said.
