"I'd be a little defiant to authority if they were inconveniencing me." Jack said

‘That’s fair,’ Mildred said.

"I imagine you humans like to defy the king in your own little ways." Jack said.

'I don't know, I've never met him.

"have you never placed a small rock in front of his carriage to indiscriminately damage his wheels?" Jack asked.

'No. The guards would probably kill me. Or something of the likes.'

"who said the guards would know? There's plausible deniability in a little rock in the road. Who could say it was so deliberate." Jack said

‘The king brings guards with him everywhere he goes,’ Mildred said.

"the guards couldn't do much about a peasant dropping their lucky pebble on the road and the king just so happening to run it over." Jack said

Mildred shrugged. ‘I was imagining throwing it. People do throw food at the king, though.’

"accidentally kicking the rock was also a possibility. How do they get away with throwing food?" Jack asked
