In response he tries to pull her all the way into the water, which only winds up with her knee deep.

Hazel of course lost her balance, and fell face first in the water. She came up coughing out water.

Theo cheered triumphantly. "I did it!" -
Hazel-Lee spat out water. 'Yeah, you did,' she said, half annoyed, half amused.

"You alright?" Theo asked, his hand cupped with water.

'I'm fine,' she huffed, sitting up.

"Alright." Theo said, kneeling down. "Just tryna make sure."

She started wringing out her hair. 'Thank God I wore the dress today and not the blouse.'

Theo nodded, standing up and getting his brown hair out of his face.

'Get it?' Hazel said. 'The blouse is white. Imagine how awkward that'd be.'
