Theo got back on, and paddled to Hazel. "You were right, I did crash." He said, trying to make her feel better by admitting he was wrong.

'Yeah...' Hazel-Lee muttered, avoiding looking him in the eye.

Theo looked down. "I'm sorry for saying that." He said quietly. "It just... slipped out."

Hazel-Lee sat down on her board, crossing her legs. 'It's fine. You were right, anyway.'

Theo shook their head. "No I wasn't."
He meant it too. He didn't think she was rude, just a bit stand offish at times. -
'You were and you know it.'

Theo raised his eyebrow. "I don't think you're rude Hazel." They said.

Hazel-Lee frowned. 'Really..?'

Theo nodded. "At least not anymore. Can't say I felt the same when you told me to only call you Hazel-Lee." He said in a light hearted tone, trying to help her feel better with a joke.

A small smile tugged on the corners of her mouth. 'Sorry about that.'

Theo shrugged, smiling as well. "It's fine, I suppose I did deserve it."

'Not really.'

Theo raised his eyebrow. "I didn't even bother to say hello to you. I think that was more than fair for you to do."

'I suppose we should start over, then,' she stated, holding out her hand for him to shake. 'Friends?'

Theo smiled, shaking her hand. "Friends."
