Hazel-Lee hurried through the crowded hallway. It was hard because she was being squashed into the wall by some of the other kids who took up all the space. She walked to the hall, where she was supposed to meet the exchange student she'd be hosting at her house. She hated staying past school hours, but she didn't have a choice. -
Theo was waiting by the hallway he was supposed to meet the kid that was part of the family that was supposed to host them for 2 months. He put an earphone in his ear to block out all the noise. it was all so loud. He wasn't sure how he'd handle it.

Hazel glanced around. She spotted a few unfamiliar kids, but was unsure which would be Theo.

After a while a couple more kids left the school, and Theo took out their headphones in case the kid tried to call him out, though he wasn't happy.

Hazel spotted a kid not too far away from her. She leaned against the wall next to him and nodded a greeting.
'Hello,' she said, unaware that he was Theo. -
"Um, who are you?" Theo responded, and almost immediately wanted to take it back. Wow. Not even a basic hello?!

Hazel frowned. 'Nunya Beeswax, you weirdo,' she huffed. She got defensive when people were rude.
