Hazel smiled. 'Great! Do you know how to surf?'

Theo did a so-so hand gesture. "I can, but not very well."

'Alright,' she said, grabbing her swimclothes from a box that was kept in the kitchen. They went to the beach so often it was a hassle to look for the swimwear in amongst everyone's messy rooms. She also found two surfboards in the lounge room. 'Let's go then.'

Theo followed Hazel-Lee with a smile. He knew he wasn't good at surfing, but he still loved being around the water.

Hazel-Lee practically threw the surfboard at him. 'Your carrying your board,' she said, and carried her own under her arm as they exited the house.

He caught the surfboard. "Wow, you're either super excited to surf, or you wanted me to be crushed by this thing." Theo joked, carrying the surfboard and following her.

'Let's say both,' Hazel said.

"Fair enough." Theo responded, not taking offense to it.

Hazel adjusted her grip on her surfboard and continued walking down the street. 'How many beaches are in France?'

Theo shrugged. "Not nearly as much as there are here."

'Makes sense. Does it show in France?'

(snow*)

He nodded. "Yeah it snows."

Hazel's face lit up. 'Really? I've always wanted to see snow.'
