"you could sleep on the bed if you'd like, I left it open just for you." Florence said. It was an old hospital bed.

Collins glanced at the hospital bed. She would’ve objected, but the floor was hard and dusty. ‘Thank you,’ she said with a shy smile, standing up. She sat down on the bed.

"no problem!" Florence said happily. He mimicked the sound of a cricket outside.

Collins smiled fully. She took off her shoes and lay down on the bed. ‘G’night, Florence,’ she said.

"goodnight Collins!" Florence said cheerfully. Then he rested his head in his crossed arms.

Collins grinned and closed her eyes. She fell asleep within 5 minutes.

Florence slept with minimal issues. He mimicked different animals snores throughout his sleep.

At some point in the night Collins woke up and started panicking about why she wasn’t at home. She got up and looked around, then noticed Florence snoring strangely and remembered where she was, then slept soundly for the rest of the night and woke up at around 6 in the morning.

Florence was still asleep at six a.m. he had stretched out one wing in his sleep and was randomly flapping his wing. He seemed to be dreaming about something.

Collins sat up groggily, rubbing her eyes. She looked over at Florence and smiled, wondering what he was dreaming about. She grabbed her satchel and pulled out her half peanut butter sandwich.

Florence drooled in his sleep and snuggled his nose into the crook of one of his elbows. It mimicked a beeping coffee maker.

Collins chuckled and lay back down. She didn’t have anywhere to be, so she lay back down and went back to sleep.

Florence woke up at 9 in the morning and decided to open the heart to listen to some music to start his day. He traced the carving of a child that the creator said was very important.

Collins woke up when the music started playing. She stirred for a moment then sat up groggily.

Florence looked up. "Good morning." Florence said. He mimicked the music quietly.
