'Neurodivergency is....' Collins tried to think of the best way to explain it. 'Mental stuff, I guess? Someone who's brain functions differently to what people think as "normal".' She used finger quotes.

"hmm, that makes sense I guess." Florence said leaning more to the side. His ears puffed out as he thought about brains. He mimicked the call of a bluejay from a nearby tree.

Collins nodded. She looked out a window, at the darkening sky. 'I should probably head home now,' she said reluctantly.

"stay okay." Florence said before turning back to the building

Collins smiled. She nodded and turned back to Florence.

Florence walked through the hall in a sort of six-legged prance.

Collins followed. 'Why do you walk on all 6 of your legs?' she asked curiously.

"it feels better. Two legs are unsteady." Florence said standing up fully. His extra set of arms was a little more weight on his upper body.

'Huh. I dunno if that's cool or strange, so we'll settle for both,' Collins said thoughtfully.

"that makes sense." Florence said. He hummed a very familiar song. It was the song from the movie Titanic.

Collins recognised that song. She smiled. 'Have you ever watched the Titanic?' she asked.

"the assistant researcher didn't allow me to watch TV, but I heard the whole movie." Florence said as he shifted the weight of his torso between his arms

Collins frowned. 'That's mean. That you weren't allowed to watch TV. Why didn't he let you?' she asked.

"he said it was negative brain stimuli. Therefore it would interfere with the experiments." Florence said. The last sentence was mimicked in the assistant researcher's voice

'Oh. Right,' Collins said. She remembered when she first wasn't allowed out of the house and she'd spend quite a few hours a day watching TV. Her mother had scolded her for being so lazy. 'Makes sense.'
