Jonah shook his head. "That sounds like the coolest thing ever though!"

"they're very pretty flowers, there's a patch of them somewhere in the forest." Valako said she remembered when her mother planted them

"Really? You should show me them sometime." Jonah said, smiling.

"I'd love to." Valako said. She looked up to the treetops. It was warm outside.

"Nice weather." Jonah said, taking his jacket off and tying it on his shoulder like a cape.

"gosh, you gotta love summer weather right?" Valako said. She felt the warm breeze waft over her and she felt better than she did a few minutes ago

Jonah nodded, looking over at Valako. He noticed her bandaged hand and frowned.
"What happened to your hand?" -
"oh well..." Valako started, she has to think of something fast. " I accidentally cut it while I was washing dishes. A plate broke." She said. It sounded convincing enough to her

Jonah raised his eyebrows. "Oh, I'm sorry."

"it's all good." Valako replied

Jonah nodded. "Yeah, it just looks painful." He noticed one of the bandages coming unloose. "Here, lemme help." He said, tying the bandage again.

"um, thanks." Valako said, blushing.

Jonah tied it again but kept holding Valako's hand.

Valako felt lucky to be wearing her veil because it meant her blushing wouldn't be seen. "So, um, what made you come back to the woods?" Valako asked

Because my friends were being jerks. Jonah thought, but didn't say it out loud. "Because I missed you." He responded instead. It was partially true after all...
