"sure, because soon enough you'll put the damn pieces together." James said
Valako watched the mirror for awhile dwelling on every flaw in her face and then, she started to cry -
Jonah glared before walking out of the gas station, fed up with his friends. He just walked over to the park and sat on one of the slides.

Eventually Valako's frantic emotions and thoughts caught up to her. She punched the mirror and screamed. She went into the bathroom and quickly bandaged her hand

After a while Jonah walked back to the forest, since he had nothing better to do. He knocked on the door.

Valako was shocked to hear a knock on the door. She grabbed the veil from her room and put it on before opening the door

"Hi. I know I already came here, but can I stay?" Jonah asked.

"uh, sure." Valako said. She carefully kept her left hand behind her. She figured it would be easier not to explain her bandaged hand.

"Thanks." Jonah said, smiling. "I know it's been less than an hour, but it felt like forever. I missed you."

"I missed you too." Valako replied

Jonah's cheeks flushed pink. "I-thank you."

"No problem." Valako said

"Can I step inside or should we hang out outside?" Jonah asked.

"it doesn't matter to me." Valako said

"Alright, lets hang out outside then." Jonah suggested, stepping out of the doorframe so Valako could walk through.

Valako stepped out. "So, I was wondering, have you ever seen a moonflower?" Valako asked
