Valako unconsciously grabbed Jonah's hand as they walked. She was thinking about what to do the next time Jonah went to see her

Jonah blushed, smiling as he walked. “Well, thanks for letting me stay for a while.”

"It's my pleasure, being able to talk to you makes me feel just a little bit more human." Valako said

“You are human.” Jonah said, smiling. “Anyone who says otherwise is cruel.”

"well, I'll believe you today." Valako said looking at the treeline. She became aware that she was holding Jonah's hand. "oh no, I'm sorry! I didn't notice I was holding your hand!" Valako shouted

Jonah blushed even more. “No, it’s fine! I don’t mind it!” He exclaimed, not letting go of Valakos hand.

"uh, okay." Valako said blushing. She unconsciously tightened her grip

At this point Jonah’s whole face was beet red and he smiled.

"Well, there's the treeline." Valako said, her face was beet red. She felt like she couldn't say anything with how flustered she was.

“Alright.” Jonah said, knowing he didn’t want to leave Valako any time soon. “Thanks, again. I like hanging out with you.”

"I like you, I mean I like talking to you." Valako said quickly. She started fanning her face. She felt so flustered she didn't know what to do or say

Jonah blushed. “I like you too.” He said quietly. “Er-thanks!”

"uh, see you later." Valako said letting go of Jonah's hand as she walked to the last tree at the edge of the forest

Jonah looked back at Valako before walking off, going to the gas station where he guessed his other friends were.

Valako watched from the treeline before walking back into the forest and proceeding to silently freak out. 'what did I just saaaay' she thought to herself patting the sides of her face. She had to process this. She started thinking about what she thought of Jonah. He was kind, and handsome and he didn't mind her face
