Kori smiled and shook Cyril's hand, giggling softly as her gaze switched between the two guys, taking in their features as if she was trying to ingrain them into her head. "My name is Kori Jane Watkins," she said simply, folding her hands in front of her, "daughter of Jared Watkins, the head of the gang~"

(Sorry for my late response. I have been under the weather ðŸ˜)
Cyril nodded, and then gritted his teeth. This night was proving to be more interesting by the minute. "Well then, it's nice to meet you." He let his hand fall to his side. It seemed like everything was already falling into place for him. Like everything that was happening was meant to be.
Oliver heard the girls name, and it had felt like his heart had sank into his stomach. How could he have let Cyril talk him into something like this? Now he was face to face with the infamous Jared Watkins daughter. "Yeah," Oliver said, his face seemingly a shade paler. "Nice to meet you." He walked past Kori, and took a deep breath. He wouldn't deny that she was pretty, but his logic was screaming at him to run. Not because of her, but for the things he had heard about her father. If there was anyone you didn't want to be on the bad side of, it was Jared.
Cyril and Oliver started to walk out of the room they were in, then Cyril had an idea. "What do you say about hanging out after our first escapade?" He asked Kori. "Oliver here needs more friends anyway, and we can get to know each other on a one to on basis." He looked at her, eagerly awaiting her answer. -

(no, you're all good! take your time :))
Kori furrowed her brows a little as she watched Oliver walk past, a little confused. She knew she wasn't that unfriendly looking, but damn, she's never seen a guy walk away from her that fast. "Sure- yeah, no, that sounds great~" She said quickly as she looked at Cyril, smiling and nodding. "I'd love to hang out- I could even show you around a little, if you'd like," she added with a giggle, running a hand through her hair. -
"That would be nice." Cyril said, a little too quickly. "How about meeting here in..." He looked at his watch, then glanced back up at Kori. "Three in the morning? We should be done by then."
-
"That sounds great, yeah," Kori replied with a grin, nodding. "I'll see you two then, I guess?" She continued, looking at Cyril and Oliver with a soft smile on her face.
-
Cyril nodded as he stepped out of the room with Oliver.
Short Time Lapse
Cyril was not the type to be shaken by jobs, but the one they just completed definitely sent a cold chill down his spine. He closed his eyes for a moment, and took a deep breath. "Damn..." He said, walking in front of the room they were supposed to meet Kori at. The clothes he had on were now scuffed up and dirty. He and Oliver stepped into the room, and waited for Kori.
-----
Oliver felt like he wanted to throw up. The nausea hit his stomach like a hand grenade. He kept thinking back to the events before Cyril decided to come back to this building, and he definitely knew now that he didn't want any part of this. He walked into the building with Cyril. After this meet-up, he was done. He wanted no part of this mess and whatever his friend had gotten himself into. -
Kori hummed as she walked into the room, jotting something down on a little notepad she kept on her. She always got ideas for poems or stories when she was out and about and used to forget them all the time, so she decided to keep a notebook on her at all times. She looked over to see Oliver and Cyril, smiling a little. "Hello, you two~" She said with a grin as she adjusted her long, floral skirt, pocketing her journal in the pocket of her sweater. She eyed them for a moment, noting the unsettled looks are their faces. "Are you two okay?"
-
"Well, other than having the night of our lives, I think we'll he okay." Cyril said, looking at Oliver, then Kori. "What do you say to all of us going to pick up some food from the twenty four hour drive-in downtown?" The drive had was locally owned and operated, and his dad just happened to best friends with this owners. Not to mention, their food was to die for. They had anything you could think of, from pizza to burgers. Milkshakes to frozen espressos. It was just the place to go to when you need some down-time, which they all needed. "Hell, we can even take my car." He added.
-
"Ooh, that sounds great~" Kori replied with a quiet giggle, nodding and grinning at Cyril. "I don't believe I've ever been there before- I don't get to go downtown too often, since I've quite busy with work. Plus, Father hardly lets me out alone, let alone late in the evening. But what he doesn't know won't hurt him~" She teased with a smirk, glancing at Oliver.
-
Cyril grinned and nodded. "Follow me then!" He said walking away from Kori and Oliver. Oliver shared a glance at Kori, and took a deep breath before high-tailing behind his friend.
One they were in the car, Cyril sped through the streets. Oliver took shot-gun, and seemed like he just wanted to curl into a ball. If he did want to talk, he wasn't showing any signs of it. Cyril now seemed unfazed by the events that transpired less than two hours ago wanted to start a conversation. "So, tell me more about your father." He glanced at Kori from the rear-view mirror. "Definitely heard some crazy rumors about him." Oliver sat up for a brief moment, and said in a voice that was almost too quiet to hear; "I don't think crazy even begins to describe it, but do you honestly think she wants to talk about her dad?" Cyril shot Oliver a look, and proceeded to glance back at Kori. "No pressure, just curious is all."
As Cyril and Kori continued their conversation, Oliver just sank back into the passengers seat. He could see his reflection in the window, and wanted to shake his head. How could you do this to yourself Ollie? He understood that Cyril was a friend, but when was enough going to be enough? What did he have to do with any of this? Did Cyril just want someone here to make him feel better, or was he planning on using Oliver down the line as a scape-goat? He knew that Cyril said he had the choice to leave after this job if he wanted too. That after this, he could go home, take a shower and crawl into bed. Part of him also knew that this wasn't true. The moment Cyril ever got into a sticky situation, he would call Oliver. He folded his arms over his chest, and just listened to Cyril and Kori's conversation. -
"Er, yes, there- there definitely are some- some "crazy rumors" about him," Kori spoke with an awkward chuckle, running a hand through her hair as she fidgeted with the fabric of her skirt. "Well, what- what all have you, y'know, heard of about my father? Because he's not- he's not a bad guy, if that's what you're thinking-" She continued, rubbing her palms against her thighs. She knew that probably wasn't the most accurate thing to say- she knew her father was doing bad things, but he would never allow her to get any bit close to the action. She wanted to know more, as much as she tried sneaking around, but she was still left in the dark. She wanted to know more, the curiosity was killing her. "Like, is- is it any similar to what you two did today?"
-
Cyril looked at Kori through the rear-view mirror once she had asked her question. Part of him had a feeling that she had just as much knowledge as he and Oliver had. He bit the inside of his cheek out of nervousness, because if that was the case, maybe he had gotten a little in over his head. "I, um....would say so." Cyril said. "To be quite honest with you, this first job was brutal." He gripped his hand around the steering wheel tightly. "But, I guess that's because he wanted to see who was serious about working for him and who would just fluke out." Cyril stated this as if he was confident in his answer. "So, if he's not such a bad guy; what is he like?" Cyril was hoping that Kori would him something he could work with and take back to his father. He had to drop the idea that she didn't know anything, because she had too. There was no way she didn't. Unless....
He let his thought trail off as he pondered something.
Oliver perked up at this question as well. He wanted to know if Kori's dad treated her just like any other kid. He couldn't imagine her father putting her through some of the crazy s--- that Cyril and him just went through. -
Kori nodded a little, a little unsettled at the thought of her father making the buys do something so cruel, but she also expected it. "Well, he's- he's really a caring guy, despite his looks and demeanor. It's not very common, but he's definitely very sweet to me and my mother," she spoke with a small smile, thinking of her father. "I haven't gotten to do much work with him in the gang, considering my work schedule and his reluctance to letting me help, which is quite infuriating sometimes," she added as she crossed her arms over her chest, frowning a little. "But he always says it's for a good reason, so I shouldn't argue with him." Even though that's very much not the truth, she argued with him all the time about doing jobs for the gang. She wanted to learn more so desperately, but he always said "she wasn't ready".
-
"That's interesting." Cyril said, as he pulled into the drive-in. "On that note, here we are! The best and only twenty-four hour drive-in in town!" He put the car in park, and opened the door. He took a deep breath of the air, and smiled. It felt nice to be back at a place he was familiar with at least. He walked to the door of the building and headed inside.
"Just like Cyril not to wait on anyone but his appetite." Oliver rolled his eyes slightly. He opened his door as well, then opened Kori's and waited for her to get out. "Sorry about him. He's never been the chivalrous type."
