(All good, wb)
'Alright,' Echo said, looking around. The town was different to the city they'd escaped from - everything looked old and rustic and most of the men passing by looked like they can and would rip your neck off. -
"alright to what? there were two options?" Heath looks confused and laughs a bit
-
Echo was more focused on the burly men giving them weird looks. 'I don't mind,' she replied, looking back to Heath, for once not using her sarcastic tone of voice.
-
"alright, i'm still a bit confused, so let's go get a hotel room." he starts walking toward the hotel, and they pass a welcome sign on the way. "welcome to Lonebrooke. how inviting." he murmurs, keeping a close watch over Echo to make sure one of the tough-looking guys don't try and kidnap her
-
(damn i gotta go)
-
'Lonebrook?' Echo said, wrinkling her nose. There was a bar where a burly woman was wiping glasses with a handkerchief, and three men that looked like they were approaching her and Heath. Echo shook that thought away and glanced around her.
-
(nooooo ðŸ˜ðŸ˜)
-
(nevermind, i'm good for a few more mins i think)
Heath noticed the 3 men as well, and they were quickly approaching, evil smirks on their faces. "Echo," Heath whispered, a bit concerned. "we need to walk faster. speed up your steps, but try to act casual. head straight into the hotel and don't look behind you. there are 3 guys following us." -
Echo's eyes widened and for a moment she wondered if it was just a joke, but she heard heavy footsteps behind them so she obeyed and quickened pace. She found herself in front of the inn, a very old 3-storey building.
-
"alright, i don't think they'll follow us in here, it would be too suspicious for them to do so i think." he walks up to the front desk and rings the tiny bell for service. after a few minutes pass and no one comes, he rings it again, and a beautiful woman covered in flour rushes over. "i'm so sorry, i've been very busy cooking dinner for the guests. one room for one night will be $150. (i just realized that they didn't have hotels in the olden days, they were Inns. also, if the price doesn't seem right, that's bc i've only ever stayed at pretty fancy hotels, which are at least $400 for a room for one night.)
-
(all good)
Echo glanced behind her, noticing the three men hadn't stopped following them. They were also in the inn, approaching the two slowly. Echo elbowed Heath in the ribs to get him to notice. -
"ow, what the fu-," *he notices why she elbowed him* "holy sh- umm... yeah we'll take the room." he gives the lady some money, takes the key, grabs Echos hand, and heads to their room. "do you think those guys are creeps or were they sent to look for you?" Heath asks, VERY concerned.
-
'Don't know, don't care,' Echo responded. They got to their room and Echo shut the door after them. They couldn't lock it from the inside, so she glanced around for some kind of barricade.
-
Heath picks up a hanger, attaches it to the doorknob, and then hammers it into the wall with another hanger. "that probably won't keep them out, but it will buy us time to escape out the window. we're only on the second story, it's not as bad as it could be."
-
Echo looked out the window. 'You mean jump off?!' she exclaimed. 'But there's nothing to hold onto!'
