'Fun?!' Echo exclaimed, looking at him then back out the window. 'You could break your leg - or worse!'

Heath chuckles "i'm kind of a parkour pro, i've grown up a thief since i was 12 years old. jumping out of windows is very helpful."

Echo decided against arguing and sat down on the bed, looking away. 'So... What now?'

"i don't think it's a good idea to go downstairs for dinner, so we'll have to wait here. i can pawn off the pocket watch in the morning for some more money, but i've still got a bit left. we should leave this town as soon as possible though, just to be safe." he lays down next to Echo and stares at the ceiling, then a few seconds later decides to randomly state "i'm bored." without getting up

Echo glanced at him and raised an eyebrow at the random statement, then kicked off her boots and lay down next to him. She pulled a book from her bag and began to read it, opening to the page she was up to.

Echo glanced at him and chuckled to herself, before continuing to read. Eventually, she fell asleep too.

Heath is startled away by the voice of the lady from the desk shouting "breakfast time everyone! don't be late!" he jumps up and goes to the door, checking the peephole to make sure no one sus was out there and checking the lock to make sure no one had tried to break in. surprisingly, everything seemed fine, so he went to wake Echo up and tell her it's safe to go get some food -
Echo stirred and woke, the book resting on her chest. She opened her eyes and noticed Heath right above her, then her reflexes kicked in and she punched him in the face.

"ow wtf?" he grabs his nose and leans over in pain. "ugh, it's a good thing you have tiny girl hands," he stands up straight again and rubs his nose. "but man, that hurt nonetheless."

'Sorry,' Echo said, sitting up, though she didn't really mean it, and the sarcasm showed in her voice.

"alright, well let's go then." he pulls the hanger out of the wall and waits to open the door. "don't forget your stuff, i don't think we'll be coming back here later.
