Heath opens the door for Echo to run through, then closes it and jams it closed with a stick just before the wannabe kidnappers can get through. "wanna go hide in a shoe store and get you some new boots or just leave right now?"
-
Echo glanced behind her. 'I'd rather just leave,' she replied, looking around for an exit to town.
-
"alright then, we should probably sprint out of here though because that door is not going to hold them forever," he looks at the door and then back at Echo
-
Echo glanced at the door, but didn't look back at Heath. 'Right,' she said, sprinting through the town until she found the exit, without looking behind her to check if Heath was following.
-
"oh my god. you almost left me behind. is this because i accidentally left you at the Inn? cus i'm sorry about that. at least i went back, so you know it wasn't on purpose." he voiced, only having to do a run to keep up with her, as he was much taller
-
Echo didn't look at him as she continued sprinted to the exit. 'You talk too much,' she responded.
-
"hmm, maybe i should try sign language..." he started moving his hands around in the air randomly, and then laughed. "i don't even know sign language,"
-
When they finally reached the exit, Echo slowed pace and leaned on the "Lonebrook bids you farewell!" sign, trying to catch her breath. 'How long till we get to the forest?' she asked, resorting back to her cold, sarcastic tone.
-
"i don't know, i don't count the seconds that it takes me to get places. i'd go insane." he grabs a pair of new and comfortable-looking boots from out of his bag and hands them to Echo. "i may have stolen these from in front of our neighbors door."
-
Echo glanced at the shoes in disgust but took them, disgusted by the fact they were stolen. 'You really are a criminal,' she muttered, kicking her old ones off and pulling on the stolen ones.
-
Heath shrugs, a little hurt, and keeps walking out of the town without saying anything
-
Echo followed him away from the town. ' Approximately how long until she get to the forest?' she asked, fiddling with the strap of her bag.
-
we get*)
-
"a bit," he states casually, kicking a rock along his path
-
'How long is a bit?'
