"well..." Heath looks at the two trails, trying to find a difference between them, but has no luck. "there is only supposed to be one trail here...

Echo glanced at each path indifferently. 'Which one do we take?'

"which one do you want to take? i'm not really sure what is going on here, but it doesn't seem right. this place is barely familiar..." Heath shifts on his feet uneasily

Echo frowned. 'You said you would take me to the forest, not get us lost in an unfamiliar baron,' she sighed, then opened her bag and pulled out some of her maps. She crouched down and lay them on the dirt, lining them up. 'Lonebrook is here,' she said mostly to herself, placing her finger on the map, 'so we'd be...' she placed her finger not too far from her other one, 'here?'

"alright, the left trail it is. that one had a better vibe anyway." he continues walking down the trail, but starts paying a bit better attention of his surroundings now

'A "better vibe"?' Echo questioned, gathering her maps, thinking how strange it was Heath hadn't questioned her about them.

he looks at a very skinny tree, and then kicks it. after deciding that the tree had taken a good enough beating, a continued walking, behind Echo this time, singing amazing grace (it's from the year 1800, i had to look it up to make sure lol) -
Echo glanced behind her at him before continuing down the path. 'You're a good singer,' she said eventually.

Echo rolled her eyes. 'Right,' she muttered sarcastically.

"come on, i gave you the perfect set up there to say 'and modest, too'" he raises an eyebrow "maybe you didn't take it because you liike me?"

Echo widened her eyes, not looking at him. I can for once not be sarcastic without having a romantic attraction to you,' she said, though avoided his gaze.

They soon got to a small creek, where Echo ran her fingers through the water. 'Shall we stop and rest here?' she asked, glancing up at the darkening sky.
