after they start walking again, Heath randomly wonders aloud "i wonder if that apple core i threw will grow into an apple tree."
-
Echo frowned. 'I don't think it will.'
-
he makes a mock pouting face and tries to pick up a conversation. "so, tell me what it's like to have a family. i've been a poor little orphan boy for so long that i don't remember anything about having parents."
-
Echo thought about that for a moment. 'Irritating,' she said, not looking at him.
-
"because of the whole, marriage thing?" he asks, jogging ahead of her to walk backwards and have a face-to-face conversation
(i keep on putting an o where the "e" in "conversation" goes for some reason.) -
(oof)
'Partially,' Echo responded, not looking at him. -
"hmm..." he makes a very odd thinking face and continues walking backwards on his merry way
-
Echo glanced up at him and frowned, before looking away again. She remained silent.
-
"well, i think we should be at the next landmark soon." he states, halfway giving up on talking to Echo, and returning to walk next to her
(you pick what the landmark is, idk what it would be🤷) -
Echo pulled out one of her maps, searching for their location. 'A park,' she said, 'Apparently a famous one. There's a statue of the mayor and everything.'
-
"yup," "quite nice people in that town as well, aside from all of them being snooty and rich." he rolls his eyes at the thought of affluent's, then trips over a tree root and falls flat on his face
-
Echo laughed at his fall with intending to, a light, merry chuckle that hadn't been let out in a long time. 'Sorry- are you okay?' she said through giggles.
-
without not with*)
-
"yes, i am absolutely excellent." he stands up and dusts himself off, then continues walking with the posture of a king. "this never happened." he whispers, waving his hands in front of her face, pretending to hypnotize her, then keeps walking.
-
Echo slapped his hands away, still smiling a little.
'It happened,' she said. 'And I will never let you forget it.'
