Kai shrugged. “Tell me more about yourself.” He suggested. “I barely know anything besides the fact that you’re good with kids.”

Amira laughed. "Thanks. Uhm, I've got a little sister, she's called Dalia, she's around Aaron's age, if she'd come they'd probably get on. I like footie, uhm running and just generally hanging out with my friends" she responded.

Kai smiled. “Nice, I like hanging out with people too.” He made sure he didn’t say friends, because he knew that would spiral down into him behind sad.

"Okay" Amira chuckled softly. "What else?"

“I like to read and write.” Kai said, smiling. “And I like to play sports, specifically football.”

"Nice, I love reading as well" Amira smiled.

Kai smiled. “That’s awesome! What’s your favorite book?”

Amira thought for a moment then shrugged. "Not sure, I like most books though. Realistic fiction is my favourite, as in the genre" she turned to Kai. "What about you?"

Kai shrugged. “Science fiction is my favorite, but realistic fiction is also super cool. I don’t mind fantasy either, but I’m not the biggest fan of nonfiction for whatever reason.”

"Neither" Amira laughed. "Uhm, favourite food?" she suggested trying to find something to talk about.

Kai shrugged again. “I dunno, I can eat pretty much everything.” He said, grinning.

Amira nodded fiddling with her fingers. "Nice" she muttered. She rubbed her head unsure of what to say.

“What’s your favorite food?” Kai asked, realizing she didn’t answer.

"Oh" Amira stuttered. "I don't really know, I like a ot of stuff, not mushrooms though" she rushed out then felt embarrassed for feeling uncomfortable. Then she was angry at herself. Ugh! Why did she have to be so rubbish at talking?

Kai nodded, trying not to laugh at how she was being mad at herself. “Yeah, mushrooms are kinda weird.” He said, grinning.
