(Oh sorry, I didn't see)
Amira raised her eyebrows cautiously, but took the clipping from Kai. She looked to the subtitle, and then the main story. She gasped in horror. "Oh my god" she muttered under her breath. -
(What should it actually say in the clippings?)

(Idk, maybe something about Syria? I got no ideas😂)

(The boat capsized and everybody died?)

(Oooo, that’s a really good one!)
Kai nodded, his hands shaking as he read the paper.
Refuge boat capsized, many drowned. -

Amira studied the words, taking a large intake of breath. She read more, now intrigued:
"On the 5th of September 1992, a tragic event took place near the border of turkey; where a boat carrying 658 refuges capsized. Sadly, there were no survivors" she stated the last part in a hushed voice. -
“It’s horrible.” Kai said in a hushed whisper. “So many died.” He shuddered.

"You don't think that will happen again?" Tears sprung to Amira's eyes. "If they chuck that many on a boat, what if it capsizes again?"

“They won’t.” Kai said, trying to sound confident. “They’ve learned from their mistakes.”
Deep down though, he wasn’t sure. -
Amira was slightly comforted but was still hesitant. She didn't mention it again.

“Anyways, we probably gotta get back to the camp.” Kai said, eager to get out, and he wanted to see his brother.

"Yeah of course, you need to get back to Aaron as well" she agreed folding up the newspaper and shoving it in her pocket.

Kai walked over to the doorway, looking over his shoulder to make sure Amira was following him.

Amira followed Kai out of the bedraggled hut and started walking down the dirty path.

They kept walking until they finally got to the camp, and Kai walked up to where Aaron was, he was still playing tag with a couple kids.
