'I don't know,' Anne said, 'Its a quote from a book. I don't want anything more, I just don't feel 100% happy with what I have. Do I sound stupid? It's stupid.'

"I don't think you sound stupid at all" Lily reassured squeezing Anne's hand again. "Please, just tell me. I can help!"

Anne pursed her lips. 'I told you, I don't know. Do you want to go back into the water? Or check out the markets?' -
(It's fine 😅)
"I don't mind" Lily sighed, she felt slightly frustrated at Anne woh hasn't actually told her the problem. -
'Alright,' Anne said, sitting up and grabbing the pastries from the basket, unravelling the cloth to reveal 6 beautiful pastry desserts. 'Want one?'

Lily smiled at the comforting, cinamony, smell but shook her head. "Thanks, but I'm full for now maybe I'll have one later"

'If you say so,' she said, taking one of the pastries and putting the rest back in the basket.

"Right" Lily muttered spreading out her legs and rolling onto her side so she was staring at the market-stalls instead of Anne. She found it quite frustrating when people didn't give her answers that made sense.

Oblivious to Lily's frustration, Anne took a bite from her pastry. She noticed her friend looking at the market. 'Do you want to look at the stalls? I'm sure we have some money in the basket.' -
Lily shook her head. "I'm good, thanks" she mumbled fiddling with her fingers.

'Alright,' Anne said, frowning. She finished off her pastry and looked back out to the ocean. 'We should come here more often,' she said, resting her elbows on her knees and her chin in the palm of her hand.

"Mhm" Lily muttered glancing at Anne then rolling onto her back staring at the gleaming ocean.
