This feeling, Aries thinksnto themself, I...like it.... "I can show you now. Here, take my sword. Plant your feet firm, keep your head up, and straighten your back." Zacharius gently places their hands on Revelation's back and stomach, helping him straighten his posture. They stand right behind Revelation and then reposition his hands on the sword handle, holding their hands over his. "Keep a strong and steady core, and your movements will stay strong," Aries finishes, smiling and gazing into Revelation's eyes.
-
After following their instructions, I stood at the helm, feeling quite nervous but eager to learn. I'll admit, it felt a wee bit funny at first, but after a while, I was beginning to get the hang of it! I couldn't help but also feel strange, though I think it was because of my first time learning experience. I couldn't help but feel so at peace around them. I liked it immensely.
-
"You're doing quite well," Zacharius commends. "Now, try again. I'm confident you will succeed, this time," they say with a wink, stepping back to watch.
-
I nodded once and followed their instructions again, smirking triumphantly as I felt myself improve. "Somewhat perfect. This may be a bit of a breeze.", I chuckled to myself as watched them out of the corner of my eye. Did they.. wink? I felt my face heat up again as I tried my best to hide it and stick onto it. "That was.. kind of cute.", I thought as I felt nervous.
-
"You're doing well," Aries cheers, smiling. "Keep your sword up and guard across your body at all times. Don't leave yourself open." Zacharius watches eagerly as Revelation fights his mechanism again, this time knocking it down.
As soon as the machine falls, Aries spawns a sword dashes towards Revelation with a confident smirk. -
"Yipe!" Thinking quickly, I held the blade in front of my body defensively as I felt the weight of their strike push me back slightly. I opened my eyes and breathed a sigh of relief as I felt not an indent or slice hit me. "Cuttin' it close, don't cha think?", I laughed as I looked toward them with a smirk.
-
"Heh," Zacharius chuckles. "I'll show you 'cutting it close'." Aries rushes again at Revelation, swinging their sword relentlessly, but every swing meets his blade with a metallic screech. Sparks fly with each strike, and no matter how fast Aries strikes, Revelation counters then with ease. Zacharius strikes faster and faster, slowly backing Revelation towards the edge of the clearing, and in a the split second that Revelation lowers his sword to counter across the other side of his body, Aries shadowshifts, slinks across the ground, and remains their form, standing inches away from Revelation. All in the blink of an eye, Zacharius shoots a mischievous gaze at Revelation, leans close, kisses his cheek, and then puts a single finger on his chest, pushing him over and spinning around with a smirk, hearing a thud. Shortly after the thud, a puff of cherry blossom pedals fly up into the air, having been displaced from Revelation's fall.
-
I sat there, buried under the cherry blossoms both feeling warm and giddy. My thoughts were jumbling from what just occurred, leaving me in a very nervous state. "Did that just happen? Am I dead? What should I do?", I thought as I sat up in disbelief. I looked up to see they weren't there, leaving me quite confused. "Hey?"
-
Just like that, Zacharius had vanished.
Returning the next day, Zacharius sits under a tree, alone and with a book and pen. Writing in the book, Aries soon becomes engrossed in their writing, but a sudden rustling of the trees catches their attention. Looking up from their book, Zacharius stands up, coming closer to examine what made the trees rustle. "Hello?" they call, a bit confused. Waiting a moment, Aries folds their arms, shaking their head. "Birds." They then return to their spot under the tree and begin writing again. -
I cautiously sat on a branch directly above them after making my way up a few trees back, looking as they wrote things in a book. "Likely something personal.", I thought as I had a funny idea. Attaching a cable from my belt, I quietly made my way to the branch's edge and enacted my plan. Using a small winch that could support my weight, I slowly descended down until I was directly in front of them. "Whatcha writing?"
-
"Wah!" Startled, Aries jumps, slamming the book closed. "Nothing! W-what are you doing up there? Hasn't anyone taught you not to eavesdrop?" they snap, cheeks deep red.
-
"Aw. You look quite nervous.", I chuckled. "Also adorable.", I thought to myself. I looked into their eyes as I felt the same feeling from a few days prior, though this time was different. I liked it. Was it perhaps.. I liked them? Thinking this, I could feel my face heat up again whilst I spun gently in the wind.
-
Taking the book and pen, Zacharius stores then away with their magic, then facing Revelation nervously. "Look, about the other day... I—"
-
I gently kissed their cheek in the same spot they left mine a day ago, feeling my face heat up a bit. "We'll call it even now.", I chuckled as I ascended by the cable.
-
Speechless, Aries gasps, staring in utter shock. What is this feeling? they wonder. With a soft gaze, Zacharius smiles, but they are unable to speak. Without thought, Aries nestles down next to Revelation, content.
