I think your Chloe being the new student would make more sense to the character arc.
I was thinking of Maya not really being invisible, but alone, if that makes sense? Again, the character arc. -

Like,I think Hawaii would be very far away from whatever place this school is in so she’s very…different.

Yeah and Sienna is also a new student so she and Chloe could maybe bond over that and those two characters start the scene and then they find Maya singing and playing the guitar.
I also have an idea;
Chloe could maybe be a bit jealous because Sienna and Maya are already friends so she tries too hang out with Sienna more then Maya? It's just an idea cause I love drama lol. -
LOL maybe but I find Chloe more like a “loyal sidekick/second BFF” kind of person but yeah maybe

Sienna approached the school smiling too herself. All her worries about people not liking her or avoiding her had almost disappeared. She had made a friend.
Walking closer too the gates she saw a girl who was standing on her won looking a little nervous.
"Hey. My name's Sienna, are you alright?" She questioned. -

“Umm,yeah.I’m Chloe.”Chloe said nervously.”It’s my first day here,I got jet lag so that’s why I’m here so early.They didn’t open the gates yet.”
She was wearing a bright cyan skirt and an orange t-shirt,which looked good when she was at home,but now she thought,”Crap,I probably look like someone who’s auditioning for a SpongeBob SquarePants real life movie.” -
Sienna laughed. "I'm new too, but I'm pretty sure the main office is easy too find, come with me" she offered taking Chloe's hand and walking round the corner until they found a side gate.
"Here" she stated smiling. -

When they came past the music room,Chloe pointed at it and exclaimed,”Wow,you have a music room?My old school doesn’t have one,but I still love music!Can we go see it?” -
Inside, Maya had a drum beat playing on her phone while she played the guitar and sang a song she'd written. It probably wasn't very good, but she knew nobody would come this early, so she enjoyed her privacy.
