"I guess" Sienna answered opening the door. She entered, Chloe following until she saw a familiar black hoodie. "Maya!" She exclaimed recognising her at once.

Maya stopped playing and looked up, immediately pausing the drum beat on her phone. She noticed Sienna and another girl looking at her. 'Hello,' she said quietly.

Sienna sat down on the sofa next too her. "Your a great singer you know!" she smiled unaware she had cause Maya any embarrassment.

Maya's cheeks turned bright red and felt unusually warm. 'Y-You heard that?' she stuttered.

Sienna sighed realising she had said the wrong thing. "Maya, I'm so sorry. I was taking the new girl too the main office and she wanted too come in here and I just heard it" she paused catching her breath then added.
"I'm sorry too make you embarrassed, but I meant what I said, your a great singer!" -
Maya pursed her lips, then sighed. She didn't reply to that, knowing now wasn't the time or place for an argument. She glanced at the new girl.

Sienna smiled warmly at her friend then glanced back at Chloe.
"Sorry, Chloe this is Maya, Maya meet Chloe" -
“H-hi.” Chloe stuttered.”You have a great voice,Maya.”

Maya leaned her guitar against the armchair, relaxing a little. She glanced to Chloe, noticing her tanned skin and summer clothing. 'Do you come from... Australia? Mexico? Hawaii?' she asked. It was often what she did when meeting someone new, having grown up with little to none social skills.

Sienna smiled too herself shuffling a little closer too Maya and indicated beside her for Chloe too sit down. "Yeah" she added. "What country did you move from?"

“Umm…I came from Hawaii.The plane just landed yesterday.” Chloe said,taking a seat next to Sienna.”I really miss all the sunshine and rainbows and the shave ice back at Hawaii,even though I just moved here yesterday.”

Maya didn't quite understand emotion yet, so she glanced down at her hands in her lap. 'Well, it snows in winter here, so we can ice skate. And sometimes you can see rainbows over the horizon,' she said. She didn't mention that it didn't get very hot very often in the city.

Sienna glanced at both of her friends who were strangely quiet. "So, what subjects do you think you'll choose for your GSCE's?" she asked desperate for a conversation.
