Sienna sat down in a seat at the back of the room, placing a book on the seat next too her. She felt bad for Chloe, they had different timetables so she'd have too complete her first couple of classes without a familiar face, no doubt shed be made fun of from her clothes.

Maya walked down the corridors to the office, listening to her music. The wires got annoying, so she pulled out her earplugs and tucked them in her pocket. She walked into the main office and held out her permission form to the receptionist. 'For the camp,' she said quietly, placing it on the table.
'Thanks,' the receptionist said, eyeing her black clothing and hair dye suspiciously. Maya left before she could say anything. -

Also I'mma start referring to Maya as they/them, as they are a demiboy and I'm gonna make it so that it's their preferred pronouns)
Maya walked down the corridors, which were empty except for them. They quickened into a jog to her class, not wanting to be later than they already were. As they ran, they accidentally bumped into someone.
'Sorry,' they mumbled, glancing up at the boy. He stared back at them, eyeing their clothes and dyed hair.
'You're the emo goth girl, right?' he said.
'P--s off,' Maya snapped, pushing past him. 'And I'm not a girl.' -
Sienna struggled through tedious pages of Little Woman-an old classic. Maya was taking a while, she hoped they were alright. She knew Maya was a demi-boy by the way she acted, her cousin Freya, was one too but she knew they were teased for it.

Maya sighed, trying to shake off what had just happened. 'Emo goth girl,' she muttered under her breath furiously as she made her way to class. 'My god.' She opened the door, trying not to look angry as she made her way to the seat Sienna had saved for her.

"Hey Maya" Sienna smiled tapping the space next too her. When she saw Maya's expression her face changed. "You alright?" She asked. "You look a little annoyed" she said softly.

'I am,' Maya muttered to her friend, pulling out her copy of Little Women from her bag. She opened up to the page she was up to and stared at it, not reading. She was too mad.

Sienna stared at Maya-she had never seen her so agitated before. Understandable; she'd only known her for a day.
"Maya?" she started. "What happened?" -
'Kids, I'm just going to the bathroom,' the teacher said, 'I can trust you all to be good.' The moment she left, the class errupted into immediate chaos. Maya huffed, putting down her book and turning to look at Sienna. 'Someone called me an emo goth girl,' she muttered furiously, eyes glassing over.

Sienna smiled sadly, fiddling with her zip. "Thought it be something like that"

Maya wiped her eyes furiously, chewing the inside of her mouth. She turned back around in her chair, pulling her earplugs from her pocket and fixing them in her ears. She connected the wires to her phone and picked a song then sat back in her chair, closing her eyes to calm herself down.
