They walked deeper into the forest, side by side until they found a clearing with several trees and some large rocks that Maya and Sienna chose too sat on. "This seems better" Sienna smiled.

'Yeah,' she said, smiling back. When she realised an extra coat was on her, she took it off and handed it to Sienna. 'I suppose this is yours,' she said.

"Yeah. Thanks" Sienna smiled taking her jacket from Maya.

They sat there for a while. 'What happens now?' Maya asked, not looking at Sienna.

Sienna glanced at Maya, not quite meeting her eyes. "I'm not sure. Just hang around for a bit. Talk. I guess?" she replied.

'I suppose,' Maya said. After a minute, she said, 'What do you wanna talk about?'

Sienna grinned. "Well can I tell you something? It's kind of private. I've not told anybody before even my Mum" she asked.

'I love secrets,' she smirked, then laughed slightly. 'What is it?'

"Well" Sienna shifted uncomfortably. "My Dad was cheating on my Mum for a long-time. I only found out when I went on his phone and saw his pictures in the gallery. He went mental when I asked him and threatened to hurt me if I told my Mum. Sienna put her knees too her chest and looked away.

Maya stared at her. She opened her mouth to say something, then thought better of it and closed it. After a minute, she said. 'I'm a demiboy. I came clean to my parents a few months ago. My dad totally flipped. He started shouting and saying that I was a girl, and nothing but.' She rested her head on Sienna's shoulder. 'My mum wasn't too supportive either, and started acting weird around me, like I was a stranger.'
She wasn't quite sure why she said this, but she hoped it comforted her friend. -
Sienna smiled a little. "Sounds like we're quite similar. But nobody should ever judge you for what you believe in. If you are a Demi-boy be one. It what my Grandma used too say. Always be true too yourself"

Maya smiled back. 'I suppose. Are your parents still together?' she asked in genuine curiosity.

"No" Sienna admitted. "He ran away in the middle of the night with his girl-friend. I saw them driving away in the car. I was only 9 at the time" Sienna looked away tears springing too her eyes. "I know he was a monster, but I still miss him!"

It was this Maya couldn't understand. How could you love some who had been so horrible? She frowned in confusion, then shook the thought away.
'Don't cry,' she pleaded, wiping away Sienna's tears with her sleeve. -
"Sorry" Sienna said forcing a smile. "It's stupid"
She cocked her head seeing Maya's confused expression. "You alright?"
