Nick rolled his eyes, but his tone was grateful. "Thanks, Clay-"

Dream hit his friend's shoulder. "Shut up. Don't call me Clay. You know I don't like it." Dream sighed. "And what I said is true. You do have a personality."

"Why not, CLAY!? It's a nice name- Clay, Clay, Clay- Nick repeated as he backed away.

"Shut up, Nick!!" He yelled, following Nick. "Stop calling me that!!"

"Never!" Nick protested.

Dream lunged forward, grabbing Nick's shoulder. "Shut up." He hissed, pressing his hand over his friend's mouth.

Nick's eyes widened in shock and fear made his hands shake.

Dream released Nick, seeing fear in his friend's eyes. "I - I'm ... I'm sorry, Nick. I didn't mean to scare you."

Nick nodded slowly, but he was still frozen in place. His hands still shook and he could barely breathe. Flashbacks of people who had hurt him before raced through his mind.

Dream could see his friend's fear still and sighed. He turned and walked away, out of the building. He sat down by the wall facing the palace. Quietly he started humming.

Nick sank to his knees and tried to calm himself down. Thunder boomed nearby but he barely heard.
A young woman stumbled down the street wailing. "THE KING! THE KING IS DEAD! GONE! TO DUST HE HAS RETURNED!" -
Dream stood, hiding in the shadow of the building. "What? The king is dead? How? Who will be the next ruler?" He asked himself, these and a million more questions running through his head.

Nick came to his senses after a while, slowly standing and walking outside.
"DEAD!!" The woman screeched as she turned to corner.
"W-What the f***?" Sapnap asked weakly. -
Sre noticed Nick and walked towards him. "The king is dead, Sap! He's dead!!"

"Wait- Doesn't that mean that the king's jackass advisor is ruling now!?" Nick exclaimed.
