Dream shuddered. It was rare to see Sapnap so upset and he didn't like it. "Don't be sorry. This time, it was my fault. You bumped into me and got water in your lungs. If I hadn't stopped then this wouldn't have happened. I'm the one who's sorry." -
Nick couldn't say anything else, he just sobbed in Dream's arms. Every once in a while he tried to pull away and pretend he was fine. "L-Lemme g-go I can- I can do it-"

Dream refused everytime, finally starting to sing again. When he finished, he inhaled nervously and hugged Nick. "Sappy, please. Calm down. You're okay now. The trouble is over. We're both safe."

The singing had soothed Nick enough to keep him from shaking or trying to get up anymore. He nodded hesitantly and slowly tilted his head to look up at Dream. "Why don't you sing all the time?" He asked in a whisper.

He shrugged. "I don't think anyone would like to hear it. If you really like it I can sing more. It seemed to help you relax." Dream whispered back, smiling down at his friend.

Sapnap nodded again. "It's nice." He mumbled.

Dream shook his friend quickly, but gently. "Hey, c'mon. We don't want to get caught in here. And we should finish what we came to do."

"Mhm," Sapnap went to stand, but his knees felt weak and the motion made him dizzy. He did his best to ignore it and continue onward.

Dream bit his lip. He felt like maybe he was pushing his friend too hard, but he didn't want to risk another accident. He gently wrapped his arm around Sapnap and helped his friend remain on his feet.

Nick pushed Clay off and hesitantly took a step forward. One after the other he soon broke into an unsteady sprint.

Dream sighed and followed his friend. He was worried but decided it best that he didn't show it. He sighed, pulling out his mask and refastened it. "Where are we going?" He asked Nick.

"Up a-ahead," Sapnap replied. "There are vines that grow on the side of the wall. They're really overgrown and sturdy-" He said as he nearly tripped and fell. Running wasn't making him any less dizzy, but he decided to just try and ignore it like he did any other thing.

Dream sighed. "Okay. Where do these vines lead?" Dream asked, staring at the wall.

Nick's charade of being fine faltered for a moment. He nearly came to a full stop but pressed onward anyway. "The hallway near the- near the top." He said quietly.

Dream glanced at his friend. "Have you done this before? I want the truth Sap." He added, thinking his friend was going to lie. He tugged on the vines and slowly started climbing.
