Sapnap swam through the water until he reached a covered tunnel. The latch had broken and rusted years ago, and he'd broken it off the last time he was here. He tried to push the door to the side like before, but it felt heavier this time.

Dream followed his friend, stopping and tryin to help him open the door.

Something shifted from underneath the covering, and it slid the rest of the way open. Nick gestured for CLay to go in ahead. I should have warned him it's dark as f***-

Dream frowned and glanced in the tunnel. He unbuckled his mask so he could see better and avoided looking back at Nick. Reluctantly he swam into the tunnel pausing when it got too dark.

It wasn't normally this dark, but the storm blocked out any moonlight. Nick reluctantly slammed the door shut behind them and swam forward, knocking into Clay. He gasped in surprise and inhaled water.

Dream turned and glanced at Nick, grabbing his hand nervously. He tapped his fingers on his friend's cheek, trying to make sure he was okay without inhaling water himself. He moved back a bit, swimming towards the back of the tunnel pulling Nick with him.

Nick panicked and grabbed Clay's wrists and rugged his nails into his skin. He did everything he could to signal that he had inhaled water. He felt dizzy and slowly went limp.

Dream turned. He felt Nick dig his nails into his wrist and tried to pull him up. He couldn't figure out what was wrong but tried to support Nick. WAIT! He suddenly realized. NICK SAID THERE WAS ANOTHER HATCH!!!! He swam further, still supporting Nick and looking for the hatch.

Nick's mouth opened and he lost all the air he had left. He weakly but frantically grabbed his friend's hand and pointed it toward the surface before the world faded completely and he went completely limp.

Dream grabbed Nick under his arms and pulled him closer to his chest. He pushed against the hatch multiple times trying to open it. Finally he opened the hatch and pulled Nick out. He grabbed his friend and did everything he could to get him to breathe again.

Nick laid limp on the ground, his lungs still filled with water and his eyes were still closed.

[i]"NICK GET THE F*** OUT OF THERE!" Dream screamed. "PLEASE!" The building was crashing down, and fire blazed way above it. People were running out, screaming, and being hauled away on stretchers. He and Nick had been making a deal backstage of an amazing show, but the fire act had gone wrong and quite literally went down in flames. Nick had told him to run ahead and get their buyer out, so he could go back and save some people who were trapped.
Dream ran up to the nearest person. "H-Have you seen my friend? B-Best friend, he's got black leather pants and a white top. Brown hair." The woman shook her head sadly and raced away.
"No no no-" Dream glanced back at the building and adrenaline coursing through his veins. The auditorium was huge, but he pushed through the fire and went all the way backstage. "NICK! NICK! SAPNAP, WHERE ARE YOU!?" Dream frantically called. "NICK, PLEASE!"
He turned and suddenly caught sight of someone trapped underneath a burning beam. He raced forward in a desperate attempt to help, but to his complete and utter horror, it was Sapnap. "NO-" He yelled. He threw his entire body onto the side of the beam in a desperate attempt to get it off his friend. His brother. "C'MON, PLEASE!!" He finally managed to get the beam to move as the entire building threatened to fall. He grabbed Nick and carried him out of the building, dodging falling pieces of the once beautiful stage.
Once they were a safe distance away, Dream set his friend on the ground and pulled his own mask off so he could breathe in something other than smoke. He coughed violently as he leaned over his limp friend. The burns were everywhere and it didn't look like he was breathing. "P-Please!" He whispered desperately. -
Dream gasped, leaning over his best friend, terrified that he wasn't breathing. "Sapnap, Nick! C'mon, breathe!! Please! I can't lose you!!!" He shook his friend, pushing down on his chest, praying that he would be able to breathe.

Nick laid for a moment, in the very same position from the night of the fire.

Dream started shaking. "Nick! Please, get up!! No, no, don't let this be a repeat of the fire. I ... I need you! Please!" He started crying, trying to get the water out of Nick's lungs.
