(WOOHOO!! Alright!! Do you want to start??)
-
(Sure ....)
Karl sighed, looking out the window. His father was sick and there were rumors that he was going to die. He hopes that wouldn't happen, because he was too young to rule.
Dream flipped up on top of a small shed, watching the marketplace. "So much to give to the poor. I only need to take a little. Then I can come back for more." He said to himself. -
"Breathe Jacobs, Breathe," George said simply. "You're not helping anyone if you're overthinking." He placed a comforting hand on his friend's shoulder and looked down at him. "Would you like me to go see how everything is going?" He asked.
Nick ran and leaped to catch up to his friend. "You get so cocky with these things-" He muttered. He turned to gaze at the marketplace. Some people were rushing around to get away from the oncoming storm, others didn't seem to give a damn. -
Karl inhaled deeply. "I - I guess so. You know what to do, George." He gripped the windowsill tight, still gazing out on the city.
"Why shouldn't I? We're doing this for a good cause." Dream said, glancing toward the storm, then back at Nick. "Just give me time, Nick. Just give me time." -
George nodded and left the room. He hurried down the hallway and toward the king's chambers. As he arrived, a nurse emerged from the door with tears streaming down her face. "There's nothing else we can do!" She exclaimed.
"I've really got no place to tell you to stop being reckless, since I'm worse than you are at times, but chill out!" Sapnap exclaimed. -
Karl bit his lip, terrified of bad news. What if my father's dead? What if ... What if he becomes king?
Dream frowned, though Sapnap couldn't see it. "Whatever. We both do as we wish." He shifted and spotted a jeweled necklace. "What if we go for that?" He asked, pointing towards the necklace. -
"Ma'am, what happened!?" George asked urgently. "H-He's dying! I can do nothing more!" The young woman cried as she ran down the halls. Tears immediately filled George's eyes as he turned to a guard. "The prince! You must get the prince!"
"Sure-" Nick gazed down at the shopkeeper. He and Clay had been working together for years, and practically thought the same. Best friends, or brothers. Call it what you wish. "Wait till he talks to the woman-" -
(Mortal, who's telling Karl that his father's dead? George or a gaurd?)
Karl's worry built the longer George was gone. Oh, god. What if the king was dead??
Clay nodded. "Yeah. One of us grabs it, the other stays behind as a distraction in case we get caught." -
(Neither. The guard is retrieving the Prince so that he can watch his father die!!
:D)
The guard spun on his heels as George hurried into the room. "S-Sir? Your son will be here soon, alright?" He said soothingly. The poor King looked dead as it was, his face was pale and his cheeks were hollow. He looked as if he was, quite literally, on his deathbed.
"You're better at lying, can you just distract him now?" Nick glanced down at the man again. "He can only stare at a young woman for so long until she gets creeped out-" He remarked sarcastically. -
Karl turned as the gaurd came in. "Yes, sir?"
"I'm sorry, prince, but you're father wants to see you. He will not make it. Please, follow me." The gaurd said gently. The prince whimpered and started crying. The gaurd gently led him to the room the king was in, gesturing for r the boy to go inside.
Dream snickered. "Of course. Be fast, though. I don't want to seem odd." -
The King saw his son and his eyes lit up with hope and love. He weakly lifted his hand for Karl to take. "H-He did-" he muttered.
George moved to the side so that his friend could reach his father.
Sapnap nodded before jumping off the shed and hitting the ground with a roll. He crept up behind the stand and gave Dream a pointed look. -
Karl sobbed, taking his father's hand. "Are you really dying?" He asked shakily.
Dream nodded, walking around to the front of the stall. "Excuse me sir, but what's this?" He asked, tapping a beaded bracelet that looked kind of expensive. -
The Good King nodded. "I-I love you s-son, but there's something- something I need to-" King Jacob's voice faded slightly. He was fighting to stay alive.
"Why my boy, I don't think you can afford an emerald bracelet such as this!" The entrepreneur exclaimed as he moved over to Dream.
Nick slipped up and eased the necklace off the stand. -
Karl leaned down. "And what would that be, Father?"
Dream chuckled. "And why is that?"
