"No, he didn't," Rasia said. "We can set it on the stovetop so it thaws faster while we're cooking."
-
“Why don’t we just put it in the oven? Wouldn’t it thaw faster?” Axel asked, glancing over briefly at the oven before flicking his eyes back to Rasia.
-
"We could do that," Rasia shrugged.
And so they got started on making the meal, hopefully with no more strange implications. If they were, they managed to get through them, and soon Skipper was presented with the fruit of their labors on a round plate. -
Axel lazily poured out a glass of milk for Skipper and slid it across to him, narrowing his eyes.
“Enjoy your meal.” Axel seethed, forcing a smile onto his face ad to not anger the elderly man.
Skipper clicked his tongue in disapproval like an old grandma getting ready to scold one of her grandbabies. “Now, now, there’s no need to get a bee in your bonnet.”
“You’re trying to kill my brother and his fiancé.”
“I’m not trying to do anything!”
“Oh yes you are and you know it-!”
“Axel,” Felix warned in a stern tone, a bit panicked. “Let him enjoy his meal without any interruptions.” -
Rasia watched nervously. If none of this worked Axel would lose his life as himself and would transform back into an adult Axel with the soul of Wermington in him. Felix would lose his younger brother again. And she would be worse off than dead.
-
First, Skipper glugged down the entire glass of milk as if he were stuck in the desert without any food or drinks. The others watched in anticipation. He smacked his lips, humming quietly. This was a decent drink.
Next, he moved on to the tofu. It was much more appeasing to him than the milk. It was just the right flavor and had a comforting texture.
However, when he put a forkful of meat in his mouth, he instantly spat it out, gasping for air while clutching his chest. Felix let out a wry scream before rushing over and patting Skipper heavily on the back, whilst Axel just watched them struggle with glee. -
Rasia looked on wide-eyed with a concerned look on her face. "What happened?!" she asked.
(What if like the more Wermington is in control of him the closer he looks to the age he was at the start of the rp) -
(OOO YES I LOVE THAT)
Axel wiped a pretend tear away from him eye, chuckling lightly. “I might have added a small additional ingredient to his meat.” -
"What?!" Rasia explained. "What did you put in there?! How do you counteract it?!"
-
“Counteract it? Why?”
Felix’s nostrils flared as he cast a furious gaze upon Axel. He grabbed his brother roughly by the back of the shirt and lifted him into the air. Axel grinned, a crazed look in his eyes as his smile grew wider and wider.
“What did you do?” Felix hissed, clutching onto the shirt. Axel choked at the tightening sensation around his neck.
“I…” More choking, and then laughing. “I added poison to the seasoning!” -
Rasia looked at Axel with wide eyes, then at Skipper who was slowly dying. She couldn't believe it. "Axel," she said to the boy who now bore a closer resemblance to a lanky preteen, "You...Not only is he dying, but he was our last chance! There has to be a way to stop this!"
-
“Last chance?” At this point, Axel couldn’t help the obnoxious cackling that burst out of his mouth. “Rasia, you poor naïve soul. You thought that the old hag would actually waste his precious time helping you? What a joke!”
“You do realize that both Rasia and I run the risk of getting killed because of your reckless actions, right?!” Felix roared, shaking Axel a little bit. Axel tilted his head slightly, a confused expression on his pale face.
“If Skipper dies then you survive. Isn’t that what the two of you want? A chance of survival? You weren’t getting anywhere with grandpa other there,” Axel weakly lifted a finger and shakily pointed it at the dying man. “So I decided to take matters into my own hands. Your in his house, take advantage of this fact and search for answers. Actually, blackmail him into giving you answers. I’m sure he must value his pathetic little life, after all.” -
"Well we can't offer him anything if you won't tell us how to stop it," Rasia said, trying her absolute best to stay calm in the situation but failing.
-
“Why bother offering a dead man a fortune?” Axel sneered, cracking his knuckles. “He’s getting up there in the years anyway, it was bound to happen soon.”
“He’s immortal, you idiot!” Felix snarled. -
"Axel, what's the cure for the poison?" Rasia asked. If he didn't give her a good answer, she didn't know what she'd do. She didn't know what any of them would do. She couldn't just let someone die without trying to save them!
