Axel turned pale, yet quickly reclaimed his signature smirk, and Felix looked almost… guilty? Skipper looked overjoyed.
“Krista…-!” Felix started, clearing his throat. Krista cut him off.
“Save it, Felix. There isn’t anything you can do to make this situation any better.” Krista stated with her voice as cold as ice. Krista snatches Rasia away from Felix and brought her into a comforting hug. “My oh my, you poor thing! You must have suffered such gruesome tragedies.” -
Rasia wasn't sure how to react. She wanted to go back to Felix who she knew she was safe with. But why did he almost look guilty?
She wriggled out of Krista's embrace and took a step back. She was wary of everything right now, not knowing what to do. "What's going on?" she asked. -
“Hm? Don't you understand the little situation you've been webbed into?” Krista inquired, tilting her head to the side. Her lips quirked up into a creepy smile, her eyes turning dark. “You've become entangled into a web full of lies, my dear. Just as I was. I used to be exactly. like,” Krista took a step forward, poking a slender finger onto Rasia’s nose before lifting it back up. It was a boop. “you.”
-
Rasia took a few steps away then quickly looked behind her to make sure she wasn't about to bump into anything. She looked back at the woman and asked, "What do you mean?"
-
“Allow me to redo my introduction,” Krista giggled quietly to herself before swiftly dipping her body into an elegant bow, tipping her head up to meet Rasia's scared expression. “Krista Hemmings, the ghost and priestess of this little church as well as Felix's ex-girlfriend whom he killed.”
-
Rasia's shocked eyes darted over to Felix. "What?" she whispered, unable to believe such a thing. Felix wouldn't do anything like that.
-
Felix glowered at Krista, his face grave and full of fury.
“You… you have the nerve to lie to Rasia like that when you knew I couldn’t control it? That’s disgusting.”
“Well, it isn’t like you didn’t kill Ms. Krista over there.” Axel giggled, a big smile etched across his face. He was enjoying the drama way too much.
“You killed me and never once apologized. Please give me one good reason as to why I shouldn’t be helping Rasia.” Krista's voice sounded very aggressive, yet her face remained stone cold. -
"What happened?" Rasia asked, trying to understand what in the world was going on.
-
"Oho~? Do you truly wish to know the truth about this whole matter? Even if it breaks you?” Krista asked. Her eyes widen in sheer amusement. A dark grin falls into place on her face, as if it were meant to be there.
Felix puts a protective arm in front of Rasia. His breathing is heavy, as if he's panicking about something.
“Rasia, don’t listen to that woman. She’s trying to fool you.” Felix orders through clenched teeth. Krista only smirks at his panicked state.
Axel and Skipper both look very intrigued. -
"Then you tell me what happened, Felix," Rasia whispered. She'd trust him over this random phantom lady.
-
Felix felt his heart drop to his feet. His face turned as pale as snow, and this extremely guilty look fell upon his face.
Is… everyone in this room other than Rasia a killer?
Felix couldn’t even look at Rasia, instead fixating his line of vision straight on the wooden floorboards. -
"Felix?" Rasia whispered. "How is she trying to fool me?"
-
“I… yes, I killed her.” Felix muttered, his head lowered in shame.
-
Rasia tensed, but she didn't take a step back. She couldn't. She was frozen to the spot. "How?" she asked. "Why?"
-
“Oho, you wish to know how I was killed?” Krista releases a small giggle laced with venom that dripped throughout her entire sentence. A cruel smirk lifts up her lips, and her eyebrows are slightly raised. “I was just a young, unsuspecting maiden at the time of my death. A young lady longing for romance and the thrill of life. Your fiancé, or rather future murderer, killed me in cold blood the night he proposed his idea of marriage to me, and it was all for Axel. A sacrifice made to demons to ensure his brother’s life.”
Krista leaned in close to Rasia. Her face was a mix of pain, suffering, and complete and utter darkness. “It didn't work.”
