Ruby nodded. "Of course," she said in response, sitting down on a chair nearby Zack's bed.

As the time clicked by the quiet soon got to Zack and he started to talk. "Thank you for standing up to my dad, nobody does that these days."

"Oh, your welcome," Ruby said to him with a small smile. "I needed to- I don't know why, but I did. I'm never that bold. Maybe I get like that when I'm passionate about what I'm talking about."

"You seem so angry, full of rage never seen before." Zack said as he tried to sit up leaning against the back board of the bed.

"Yeah," Ruby said. "I've never seen that in myself before- is that a good or bad sign?"

"I think it is good." He leaned forward and kissed her lightly, no violence in the kiss.

(*sobs in "I SHIP IT"*)
Ruby froze in shock, not fully comprehending what had just happened. For a minute she sat still, but after that moment she managed to regain herself and, to her surprise, found herself kissing Zack back ever so gently. She wondered if this was a good idea or not but she pushed the thought away. -
He pulled away and said, "I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking."

"Yeah, uh, me neither. You're fine, I'm sorry too," Ruby said, looking down with a flustered expression.

"Your cute when your flustered." He grinned sweetly for once.

Ruby blushed as red as a tomato and smiled just slightly as Zack spoke.

"Will...Will you go out with me?" He asked and his face paled in hestiation at her answer.

"I... don't know. Can- can you give me a bit of time to think maybe..?" Ruby asked. She wasn't sure about anything right now. She felt like she wanted to go out with Zack but she needed time to think about everything going on.

"Su..re...." He looked away from her his face twitching in nervouness.

Ruby looked down at her lap and fiddled with her fingers, feeling the tension and awkwardness rise between her and Zack. "Um... do you know what time it is?" She asked.
