Ruby nodded and looked down. "Yeah... god I'm not looking forward to killing people," she said, her mind flitting back to when Zack told her she would be working for the Mafia.

"Yeah, she won't let you escape here." Zack fronwed.

Ruby, feeling a sense of hopelessness wash over her, shut her blue eyes, a few tears slipping out of them.

"It's okay." He took her and hugged her tightly but being careful not to squish her.

She shook her head to herself, knowing that it wasn't, but she was grateful for Zack. She hugged him back with more tears slipping from her face, careful not to damage his wound.

"We are going to make it." He frowned but nodded.

Ruby nodded, trying her best to believe his words. She wanted to believe them. She wanted to with every fiber of her being. It was just difficult.

"I promise we are going to make it." He said with a sense of force in his voice.

Ruby nodded and pulled away slightly, looking into Zack's eyes. "What do we do for now?"

"Just train and try to survive." He said the survive more for him than for her but he smiled and tried to stand up again.

Ruby nodded. "Be careful," she said as Zack tried to stand up.

"I know, besides I wouldn't hurt myself or I couldn't train you to protect yourself against my sister." He stood up and limped over to the dresser.

Ruby looked down. "Okay. Thank you, Zack."

[Cinna, I don't know what to do, Brycen and me have like nothing to talk about.]
"No problem Ruby." Zack pulled on a new shirt after throwing the sweaty one on the floor. -
(*shrugs* uhhhhhh
maybe talk about a tv show/movie you both watch or something? idk)
Ruby blushed slightly as Zack took his shirt and then looked away. What- why- why did I- oh God
