"Should I? That would be fortunate for you, bud as fate would have it, I have to walk in the same direction as you.” Garret smiled sweetly at her.
-
*but not bud
-
Cassie clenched her jaw. Her house was less than a minute away and she didn't want Garret to see where she lived. "Well unfortunately for you, my home isn't this way," she said and made a left turn at the intersection they had just hit. She'd just go around a couple of blocks before going back home. If he followed her, she'd just walk randomly until he got the hint.
(Wait is Porak's house in this neighborhood?) -
(I don’t know if we determined that. :0)
(Imagine all the chaos that would happen since Garret lives in Cassie’s neighborhood as well XDD)
(Oh my gosh)
(Yes, I think Porak should live in the same neighborhood 👀)
“I see. Well in that case, perhaps I should escort you back to your house.” Garret suggested, still following Cassie. -
"No, Garret," Cassie said with firmness in her voice. "Go home."
-
“And why should I do that, Cassandra?” Garret inquired, lurking closer and closer to her with each step he took. “Are you scared of a lowly werewolf?”
-
*vampire, not werewolf
-
Cassie didn't step away. Instead she rolled her eyes. "I just don't trust you," she said.
-
“And why is that?” Garret pressed a finger above his lips as if he were pondering her answer. “I wasn’t the one who attacked you on your very first day of big girl school.”
-
"You did on the second," she pointed out.
-
“But at least I apologized.” Garret hissed through clenched teeth.
-
"He did too," Cassie said. She was on edge. His reaction was making her get ready to bolt. "But at least he doesn't act like a weird stalker creep like you are."
-
“Weird stalker creep?” Garret's eyebrows shot up to the middle of his forehead. He narrowed his eyes for the tenth time. “This is the first time I’ve followed you with your knowledge. Porak is the one who is always stuck by your side like glue.”
-
"Because I let him," Cassie said, taking steps away from him. "You've been acting strangely the entire time you've been walking with me even when it was obvious I didn't want to. Go away."
-
“Cassandra… is there really a difference between me and Porak? He and I, we’re practically the same. It’s just that one has more manners and the other is rowdy beyond belief.” Garret said. He placed his hands behind his back and he continued to walk with Cassie. “Of course, if you truly don’t wish for me to take a nice long stroll with you, then I’d be happy to cease my worries and go back to my own home.”
