(What if we do it differently.
Garret tries tagging along with Cassie but she doesn't want it, the Porak comes along and sees it) -
(Sounds good!)
The next day, Garret paced back and forth in front of Cassie’s house, eager to see how she would react to him being there. -
Cassie walked down the porch steps and down the driveway when she suddenly stopped in her tracks. Garret was at her house. A bolt of fear shot through her, but then she transferred that energy into a burning feeling. She walked across the lawn, avoiding Garret, then started on the sidewalk on the way to school.
-
Garret swiftly strode up to her, catching up to her fairly quickly. He offered her a sly grin.
“Well, well. Who would’ve ever thought that you and I were neighbors?” -
"What about "Stay away" do you not understand, Garret?" Cassie glared at him.
-
Garret raised a questioning eyebrow at her, a quiet and amused chuckle being drawn out of his lips.
“I hope you realize that doing such a thing would be a hard task to accomplish considering we live extremely close to one another.” He hummed, fluttering his long eyelashes innocently at her. -
"That means do not interact with me at all whatsoever," Cassie said. "Surely you can accomplish that."
-
“Isn’t it rude not to wave at someone you know though? Wouldn’t it be considered strange if we just ignored one another while on our way to school?” Garret asked. He was contradicting his actions. Before this, he never trailed after Cassie on his way to school.
-
"You've done it before for two and a half years," Cassie said. "I'm sure you can handle another one and a half."
-
“Oh, please, that’s just a bunch of balon-“
“And what exactly are you doing walking with my friend?”
Garret felt a chill run down his spine from the familiar coldness of the sudden voice. There was only one person in the entire world who dared to cut him off from his words.
Porak. And he did not look happy at all. -
Cassie turned with surprise and relief at the sound of Porak's voice. Thank goodness he was here. She wanted to run over to him, to safety, but decided not to.
-
“O-Oh..! P-Porak, greetings, how are you? I assume the family has been treating you well, yeah?” Garret stuttered, immediately taking two huge steps away from Cassie. He gripped the corners of his shirt in anger as he splayed out a forced smile across his face. It was strange. He looked as if he feared and hated Porak at the same time.
Porak narrowed his eyes and slowly approached Cassie.
“You should mind your own business instead of meddling into everyone else's affairs, Garret.” Porak snapped. -
Cassie was grateful for Porak to be there. She met him halfway, looking up at him then at Garret. She'd intervene more if she had to but she really didn't want to deal with Garret anymore.
-
Garret looked at Porak and then at Cassie, a blank expression on his face.
“Seriously? You feel safe with this guy?” -
"Safer than with you," Cassie muttered. "Don't forget who tried following me home yesterday even after I told you to go away."
