(Ack)
"There is a difference and I would greatly appreciate it if you left me alone," Cassie said, trying to keep her distance from him as best she could. -
“Care to tell me what the difference is, human?”
His words are dripping with venom. The air seems to have turned thicker than a strawberry smoothie. -
"I told you to leave me alone," Cassie said, walking away from him. She wished she could threaten to call the police, but she knew they wouldn't pay attention to her. They wouldn't care about a scared little human.
-
Garret shrugged his shoulders and turned in another direction. Yet, it was the direction of where Cassie’s house actually was.
-
Cassie let out a sigh. She saw which direction Garret was going though. Perhaps his house was that way as well. She'd just walk around for a little while longer until she knew she wouldn't bump into Garret on her way home.
-
It was very unfortunate, however, because Garret lived right next door to Cassie’s house.
-
About fifteen minutes later Cassie decided she could hear back. The sun was just beginning to set. Her parents would be home. She tried to figure out a good explanation for what happened.
Eventually though she reached home and still didn't have an excuse. So she made her way inside and hoped for the best. -
As Cassie entered her house, Garret peered through the blinds of his curtains, watching her silently through the windows of his own house. Hm, how interesting. She was his neighbor.
-
"Cassandra!" Thalia yelled. "Where have you been?"
Cassie figured she could stretch the truth a little bit. "I was on a walk," she said. "I forgot to tell you, I'm sorry. She didn't want her parents to worry any more with any of this vampire stuff she was dealing with. -
Donald hurried into the room, his face expressing a look of worry. Hearing Cassie’s explanation made the fear in his eyes died down a bit.
“It’s okay, kiddo.” Donald sighed in relief. “Just make sure to tell us beforehand next time, all right? Your mother and I were worried sick.” -
"I will," Cassie nodded with a smile. She walked upstairs and got a bit of her homework done before supper.
(Time skip perhaps?) -
(Sounds good. Time skip to where? :D)
-
(Uhh good question)
(School perhaps?)
(I dunno) -
(Oo! I have an idea.)
(What if we had Porak arrive at her house bright and early to escort her to school like normal, BUT Garret tries tagging along?)
