(Can we timeskip to after Lares has shown Erina the basics? I don’t know any of this stuff and am not sure how to act)
"Ah." Lares nodded vigorously. "Well, I can work with that too." He showed her how to hold the bow. "Of course, you don’t want to hold it by the arrow. You can injure yourself that way." -

Honestly if you did know it was going to be a learning experience for me too)
Erina was a diligent student, determined to succeed. "You're a good teacher, Your - " she paused. "Would you allow me to call you by your name? It's so tedious to do otherwise." -
"I'm good with Lares." Lares scowled at Erina. "But just know that I am superior to you no matter what you may think of me or address me as." Lares stubbornly added, "But you have talent, girl."

"Thanks, I guess," she said. "And by the way, this girl has a name."

Lares raised an eyebrow. "What is it?" Lares asked. Spunky one as well, he thought, but kept that to himself.

"Erina," she said, looking up at him with daring eyes.

"Erina." Lares seemed to analyze the name for a moment. "Very well. Would you care to rest, so that we may catch our breath?"

"I guess," she said. She did feel a little tired, but she didn't want to admit it

Lares reached down to the side of the bench to triumphantly hold up two bottles of clean water. He preferred one to Erina.

"Thank you," Erina said as she sat down and took the bottle. She opened it and took a quick swig of the water. It tasted better than the water she got at home.

Lares opened his own bottle and took a sip of it. Nodding appreciatively, he set it back down on the ground.

Erina set her bottle down. "How long have you been doing this for?" she asked.

"Doing what?" Lares asked absently. "Archery? Not long."

Erina looked at him. "Really?" she said in surprise.
