"I'm not going to be riding that horse, am I?" Kenna said.

"Oh no," Ander said. "By the looks of it, it'll take her a while to finish."
"He'll have the ability to fold into a backpack!" Crypta added, delightedly. -
"A backpack?" Kenna asked, looking at the horse. "My spatial skills are starting to hurt."

"Mmhmm," Crypta confirmed. "He'll be virtually hollow on the inside, but the outside is reinforced with some of the strongest stuff to ever exist! It's a dream."

"Where do you get the stuff to make all this?" Kenna asked.

"That's a good question," Crypta said, waving a wooden spoon at her. "I'm given all the materials I could want by my old hirers if I give them something fabulous every year. They're not very nice, so I have a kill switch on every single thing I've given them."

"As in, they die, or it's used to kill someone else?" Kenna asked, her stomach tightening at the word kill. She didn't know why she was reacting that way, but just he fact that it could've happened to her was probably why.

Crypta looked concerned. "Oh no, the machines self-destruct. I never make anything with the intention to kill."
"It was just a misunderstanding," Ander lied, knowing that there was much more to it than that. "Don't worry about it." -
"Oh, ok," Kenna said.
(Me forgetting this is a romance lol) -

Crypta returned to her chicken pot pies, humming a nonexistent song.
"Kenna," Ander said. "What happened back there?" -
(It's a slow romance and all of a sudden they're going to realize they like each other, probably)
"What do you mean?" she asked. -
Maybe, they're just like ":o" "Didn't know that was going to happen"))
"You tensed up and looked really...different," Ander said, concerned. "You looked almost scared." -
(Probably lol)
Kenna frowned. "I guess it's because I remembered that I could have been killed. And that other victims aren't nearly as lucky as I was." -
Ander looked away, his eyes pained. "Yeah."

"I'm sorry for bringing that up," Kenna said, looking at him.
