Captain appeared mildly destressed and quickly shook his head, begining to rattle again

"Hey, it's okay," Cass said. "I know this must be a lot for you."

"Dont think-destract break-fall to-quiet" Captain whimpered, pulling his wings around himself

Cass was scrambling for things to do. She spotted some headphones and turned on an audiobook, hoping it would calm Captain down.
"Here, put these on," she said. -
Captain obeyed almost roboticly, putting the headphones on and visibly wincing when they touched the marking on his head

Cass hoped that using the headphones would feel more familiar, like having a voice inside of one's head.

Captain paused when he heard the audio book playing. He soon calmed down, staring ahead as he listened

Cass exhaled in relief. Chrome purred and crawled into her lap.

Captains wings slowly drooped down to rest on the floor as he relaxed

Cass figured that she might as well make breakfast even though it was now 4 AM.

Captains eyelight flickered a few times before going out, falling over a few seconds later

"Uh, Captain?" Cass said. "Are you okay?"

Captain didmt respond, but appeared to be asleep

"Alright then, nighty night, Captain," Cass said, putting a pillow over his head and pulling a blanket over him.
