"Can you try telling me what happened?" Cassandra said, trying to keep her voice steady.

"Vale was compleated" the skeleton choked out, hugging himself. "I was made his vessel. He didnt need it any more"

"That sounds awful," Cass said sympathetically. "Are you okay?"

"Empty not right-feels wrong" he said quietly, digging the tips of his phalanges into his ribs as he started rattling again "too quiet-whyd he leave"

"You feel empty? Oh..," Cassandra said, before hugging him. "What about now?"

Captain froze and stared at her for several seconds in confusion and fear before he relaxed and leaned on her, calming back down

Chrome walked into the room, eyeing Captain with his oddly colored eyes. He meowed at the newcomer, padding up to him.

Captain was initially startled at the cat, his wings drawing closer to himself as he stared at the feline. He hesitantly reached out to touch Chrome

Chrome smacked his head against Captain's hand, demanding attention.

Captain flinched and jerked his hand back, starting to rattle

"That's my cat," Cass explained, giving Chrome a few scritches behind his ears. "Don't worry, he doesn't bite."

Captain looked at her for a moment before hesitantly reaching out and petting the cat

Chrome purred, closing his eyes with contentment. More people, more petting! He crawled onto the blanket and basked in all the attention.

Captain squeaked a little when he came closer but continued petting him
(Fun fact Skittles is currently laying on me)
