Jonathan slowly nodded the affirmative. Something was drawing him to the job, for some reason, and then there was also the money up front, and all that.
-
"Good." He said, a strange dark rumble echoing behind his voice before He made a gesture and a large bag of gold appeared on the table. "I will go make travel arangments. You may accompany me if you wish, or meet up with me at the east gate in an hour." He stood up, and moved to leave the tavern
-
Jonathan took his money and went with the man. He was already packed up, he had just arrived that day. And the man also intrigued him. He sort of wanted to figure him out. He knew he was one of the worst mercenaries for letting his curiosity get to him, but he couldn't help it. Anyway, some people that had hired him in the past liked to see some human attribute to a mercenary.
-
Captain tilted his head at the human to acknowledge his choice before walking out of the tavern. He stopped and looked at the sky for a moment, seeming to be searching for something before turning and walking down the street
-
-
Jonathan walked out of the tavern behind the man. He seemed to know the neighborhood. He realized he didn't even know the skeleton-man's name yet. Nor did he know his, so that was fair.
-
Captain led the way to a stable, pausing to examine a few horses before striding over to a sable hand and asking them something. The stable hand pointed over to an important looking human and Captain went over to him to purchase two horses
-
"I already have a horse," Jonathan informed the skull-man. And he didn't wish to use another. He was too connected to his horse.
-
Captain looked at him and nodded in understanding, purchasing a black mare for himself and tack for her. He led the horse over to the human. "Where is your horse. I need to call Erratum here so that he knows not to attack you or it.
-
"In the stables of the tavern we were just in," Jonathan said. "And who's Erratum?" He had no idea, considering that this man was able to do magic, and what not.
-
"You'll see. Go get your horse." He said dismissively as he tied his horse to a pole to keep it from running off. "Hes quiet far away, it will take a few minutes for him to get here
-
Jonathan raised his eyebrows and walked to the tavern's stables. Thoughts were racing through his head, and hardly any of them he could answer. But he doubted that this man was the type that would sit down and teach you things you'd never even begin to understand.
-
Captain watched him leave before turning and tilting his head back, closing his eyesockets. Black whisps of magic radiated out from him in pulses before he let out a peircing whistle that could be clearly heard from miles away. A few seconds later a horrid screech answered.
-
Jonathan whipped his head around when he heard a chilling screech. He didn't know if that was whoever Erratum was, or if it was something else. He grabbed the reins of his horse and led him to where the skull-man was.
