Captain hummed quietly. "Its the closest translation I could find to my true name, seeing as most species cant speak Skulbrek

"What is your name is Skulbrek?" Jonathan asked. He wondered what that language sounded like. Probably incomprehensible.

Captain procided to make a harsh rattling and clicking sound that appeared to be coming from his ribs. "Im sure you can figure out why the more fleshy species have difficulty speaking it" he said calmly

Jonathan nodded. "I don't think I'd be able to make a mouse that sounds even remotely like that," he said truthfully.

Captain gave a low hum in agreement. "If i remember correctly, some humans have made an artificial way of speaking it, using certain instruments." He said thoughtfully

"Like drums and woodblocks?" Jonathan asked. The percussion instruments were the only ones he could think of that made that sort of noise.

Captain squinted a little in thought and then nodded "yes i think so. Though some use actuall bone instead of wood to better mimic the language" he said

"Makes sense," Jonathan said. He rubbed Ragger's neck. The horse nickered. Jonathan gave a small smile.

Captain turned his attention to the sky to watch Erratum, who was flying overhead

Jonathan looked where Captain was looking. "So is Erratum a pet, a comrade, what's your relationship with him?" he asked.

Captain frowned and started to reply before going stiff for a second. He eventually replied with "a weapon, would be the closest word. Hyzanilk dont take kindly to being controlled."

"And yet you're able to?" Jonathan asked, thinking about when Captain told Erratum not to eat him or Rather.
