"You must be hungry if you'll chew on that thing," Elytra said. "Here, I'll get something for you."
Elytra put a variety of things on a plate, like fruit, veggies, meat, dairy, etc. She held it out to him.
"What do you like?" she said. -
Vitalus tilted his head at the plate, sniffing at it as he propped himself up with his arms. He blinked and looked up at her

She took a grape from the plate and ate it. "Food," she said. "You should try it, it's still good."

He mimicked her by eating a grape, then looked confused as he chewed on it before he grabbed something else and munched on it

Elytra smiled. "That's good! Find what you like."

He fluttered his wings at her and continued eating, slowly working his way through the plate

"I guess you like all of it," Elytra decided.

Vitalus looked up at her and churred softly, now finished with the plate

She washed the plate and then sat on the pillows with him. "I wonder if you like toys," she said quietly. She pulled out a teddy bear and held it out to him.
"It's all yours," she said. "Vitalus's toy." -
He blinked at it before he darted forward and bit it

"Or you could do that," Elytra said. "That works too."

Vitalus shook the teddy before looking at her, looking happy

Elytra smiled. "You know, you're actually pretty cute."

Vitalus churred and curled up on the pillows, dropping the teddy

Elytra spread a blanket over Vitalus, effectively double blanketing him.
