Elytra got inside and patted the seat next to her.

Vitalus sat next to her while the guard got into the drivers seat

Elytra looked out of the window, pointing out random things to Vitalus. "See that? That's a dog."

Vitalus looked out the window curiously, tilting his head

"And that's an ice cream parlor," Elytra said. "Maybe I'll take you there one day."

Vitalus blinked at her in mild confusion, tilting his head

"I keep on forgetting you don't understand English yet," Elytra said, smacking her forehead and sighing. "I'm an idiot, don't mind me."

Vitalus whined at her, apparently not liking that she had hit herself

"What?" Elytra said, before understanding. "Oh. Don't worry, I've had worse."

Vitalus growled quietly and buzzed his wings at her, not liking that. He then moved and curled up on top of her like a large bony cat

Elytra let out a muffled yelp of surprise.

Vitalus poked her face, tilting his head at her

"Vitalus," she said in a still muffled voice. "Vitalus, I can't move."

Vitalus purred and then set his head down, seeming happy now

Elytra finally succumbed to her defeat and shifted so that she managed to see over Vitalus.
