By the time they had gotten the shelter set up, the moon was shining over them. Ardis lit a fire and sat next to it, turning big juicy sausages on a spit.

Phen sat down and stared at the moon

Ardis carefully slid a large sausage off and handed it to Phen, holding it with her fingertips.

Phrn grabbed it with his claws "thanks

"You're welcome," she said cheerfully, sliding another sausage off of the spit. "I haven't had anything this greasy in years."
She took a big bite, savoring the taste. -
Phen chuckled and chewed on his sausage

She finished off her sausage in three big bites, then toasted a bit of bread.

She held out a piece of bread to him. "It's crunchy."

Ardis took a jawbreakingly large bite.

He nibbled on his peice, making a face "i dont like it

"Why, do you not like grains or crunchy things?" she said, eating his piece for him and handing him another sausage.
