"yes I'm the great mysterious Sir spade great knight of may and elincia's right hand man. Also that's exactly why the catacombs are forbidden, if you had touched Lord auluvin or his artifacts so many people would have died." Rin said.

"Ah," Kenna said. She didn't have a reasonable argument for that.

Dallas bit her lip. "Hmm."

"that's also why you're lucky elincia forgave you, because if you had gone deeper you would have killed us all. Nevertheless we should get moving before night comes." Rin said.

Dallas nodded and picked up a stick and a sharp stone, and she began to sharpen the stick absentmindedly, the edible plants she had harvested in a small pouch.

Kenna picked up a large stick and started striking the ground with it as she walked.

Once the point of the stick had been sharpened finely, she gave it barbed hooks on the ends, before tucking it into her belt and sharpening another stick.

Kenna abandoned the stick and just looked forward and kept on walking.

Dallas collected more food as she walked, before impaling a large squirrel sitting in a tree. He fell, a nut still clutched in his hands. She took the nut and began to skin the creature.

"where did you learn to hunt?" Rin asked Dallas

"Up on Aviemore, I learned how to fight. I also learned how to skin creatures. Put those two together, and you know how to hunt," Dallas said, trying to keep the skinned squirrel out of Eve's view. No need to traumatize the young one.

"so you were training to be in the queens army." Rin said.

"Yes," Dallas said. "But does it matter anymore?"
